Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed by the label's the first artist of female gender with Dreamville Records by J. Cole. She released her first EP with the label on October 21 2016 titled Pho where she started to gain notoriety. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It was released on May 19, 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 as she launched her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography, in 2013. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox release her single Bound and her self-released mixtape Five Finger Discount. In the year 2015, she performed in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, which came out on the 21st July. it out on July 21st. J. Cole was interested in her talent and wanted to use it together with Rihanna. She was officially signed to Dreamville Records on 8 December. Backseat is a song that she co-wrote with Cozz on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II. She released Pho, her debut EP, on Oct 21 in 2016. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's track Change and was an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. in 2018, the singer-songwriter guested on two tracks with EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, and Bas On Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018 was the first artist to release her single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video to accompany it came out on the 5th. The 9th of November saw her release two more singles called 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. She then released on the 13th of November, two brand new singles, titled One and Pedigree. One and pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby then made appearances as a guest on Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She released this single as a way to celebrate her debut album titled Creed II on 26 February 2019. A music video debuted on 20 February 2019 to accompany the track. Within a time, it was viewed more than 3 million views. As a supporting act She toured with 6LACK during December 2018 on their From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
